Best restaurants in Leeds for team meals after a conference

After a busy day of presentations and networking, a team meal is the perfect way to round off your conference in Leeds. Our team is always asked where to find the best restaurants in Leeds for groups, so we asked Eleanor — one of our Conferences and Events managers at Cloth Hall Court, and a keen food blogger — to share her top recommendations.
There is nothing better than getting your team together to socialise and enjoy some good food. As an avid foodie who runs a food blog on the side of my role in events at Cloth Hall Court, I love highlighting the best places to eat and drink in Leeds city centre. Whether you are planning a large-scale event for up to 300 or a small away day for 20, here is a list of all my favourites to help you plan the best day for your team.
Cloth Hall Court: Add a relaxed drinks reception to end your conference
A drinks reception is a simple yet effective way to wrap up your event and give your guests a chance to unwind. At Cloth Hall Court, we offer a variety of reception options — from elegant canapés to generous grazing boards — all served in a welcoming, informal setting. Whether you’re celebrating a successful day or just want to keep the conversations going a little longer, our team can help you create the perfect atmosphere.

Restaurant Bar and Grill: Ideal for smaller groups
Located just around the corner from Cloth Hall Court, Restaurant Bar and Grill is a gorgeous restaurant with stunning interiors. If you want a more formal gathering but for a smaller group, they have a private dining option for up to 26 with a mixture of menu options depending on your budget. I visited recently for an event and the truffle cheese croquettes were stand out.
Veeno: Perfect for a more relaxing gathering
Just a five-minute walk away is Veeno an Italian restaurant and wine bar. The venue is incredibly versatile offering private hire for larger groups or just a corner of the restaurant for smaller gatherings. They offer plated Italian dishes as well as more relaxed finger food, and if you were looking for a fun team building activity, they even offer wine tasting experiences. I did the ‘Taste of Sicily’ event recently and loved it!
White Cloth Hall: For the group where no one can agree on what they want to eat!
A gorgeous relatively new addition to the city centre, this food and drink hall would be a great choice if you have a team that is a little hard to please. With a range of food options from Mexican tacos, Malaysian curries and Sicilian pizza slices this is sure to win over even the toughest crowd. They have a variety of different areas in the building so private hire of the mezzanine is possible, or alternatively you could just book out a corner of the main seating area.
Stuzzi: For the team that loves food
One of my favourite restaurants in Leeds they offer a mixture of small and large plated Italian dishes with an emphasis on sharing. They offer a no hassle approach to group bookings, where they bring out a little bit of everything for the table, tapas style so there is no need for you as the organiser to need to plan who wants what. This restaurant will work particularly well if you have a large mix of meat and non-meat eaters as their vegetarian/vegan options are amazing!
Sukhothai: the perfect option for delicious Thai food
Located just 5 minutes away, this lovely Thai restaurant has a dedicated events team, so whether you are booking for a large group or something a little less formal, they have plenty of choice. I always find it hard to know what to choose so the only option here is to order a little bit of everything, family style, which I think is a lovely way to promote networking and get everyone talking. They offer a great selection of veggie and halal options.
