17 September 2024
Welcome festival at the UK Corporate Games

The University of Leeds is proud to announce that following the success of the UK Corporate Games 2024, we have been selected to host the prestigious event for a second consecutive year. This marks the first time in the history of the UK Corporate Games that the event will take place in the same city two years in a row. The 2025 Games will be held from 24 to 27 July, with many of Leeds’ premier sports venues, including the University’s world-class facilities set to be used again.

Doug White, Games Director said: “Our return to Leeds for the UK Corporate Games in 2025 is a testament to the overwhelming success and positive feedback we received from the 2024 Games. The enthusiasm and support from participants, companies, the University and the city have been incredible, and we’re excited to build on that momentum for another unforgettable year in 2025!

The 2024 Games saw over 70 companies and hundreds of participants come together for an unforgettable multi-sport festival. The University’s commitment to delivering an exceptional experience was evident in the overwhelmingly positive feedback from both participants and organisers. As a result, the UK Corporate Games team has chosen to bring the event back to Leeds, recognising the University’s outstanding sports infrastructure and the city’s vibrant atmosphere.

Sam Glenister-Batey, Deputy Director of Commercial and Business Development at the University of Leeds, shared his excitement about hosting the event again:
“We are delighted that the UK Corporate Games has chosen to return to Leeds for 2025. The success of this year’s event was a testament to the collaborative efforts of our Conferences and Events team, alongside colleagues from across the University. Our world-class sports facilities, including The Brownlee Centre and The Edge, alongside the enthusiasm of our staff and participants made the 2024 Games a triumph. We look forward to building on that success and delivering an even more memorable experience in 2025.”

The UK Corporate Games champions teamwork through sport, bringing together businesses from across the country to compete in a wide range of activities from football and netball to dragon boat racing and golf. The Games embody values of inclusivity, community, and healthy competition, aligning with the University’s own commitment to health and wellbeing.

Preparations are already underway to ensure that the 2025 Games will be bigger and better than ever. Companies interested in participating can now register their interest, with an early entry offer currently available.

We are honoured to once again play a key role in hosting this prestigious event and look forward to welcoming participants back to Leeds next year.
